The Antinea Foundation and its partner Virtual Dive have developed new tools destined to reveal the underwater to the general public.
The cyberseas software collection can be useful in a range of fields including tourism, education, science and the environment. Various interactive three dimensional environments are accessible over the internet. In collaboration with its international members, Cyberseas creates 3D models of the world’s most important underwater sites in terms of biodiversity and mankind’s heritage. The 3D models are made up of different levels of information including lists of local species, their biotypes, local tourism and the status of scientific research in the area.
