A vast expanse of dreams and adventure, the oceans have always intrigued and enchanted Mankind with all their power and immensity. Barely explored, yet so rich in promise, a gigantic force, yet so fragile, they play an essential role in our existence and yet they are so threatened. The oceans are no longer the untainted environment that men and women were once inspired by. On the contrary, we have no option but to re-evaluate their condition in light of mankind’s rapidly growing global footprint. Whether it be through pollution, overfishing or global warming, the oceans are in danger. For the Antinea Foundation, the only way to deal with a challenge on such a scale is through collective engagement. Creating synergies between organisations for ocean conservation, NGOs, politicians, businesses and scientists while involving and informing the greater public.
