Hydro-geology and seismic activities
It is only since the second half of the twentieth century and thanks to new technologies that geological studies in submerged regions (which cover more than 70% of the globe) are being conducted.Studies in geology and hydrology, the main sciences relating to the oceans floors, have yet to achieve their full potential in amassing a better knowledge of our planet’s dynamics. Ultimately they will improve our ability to detect seismic activity and avoid the disasters that may otherwise occur. Thanks to its advanced tools (submarine robot, HD cameras) Antinea will facilitate the acquisition of more data on the topic and with plans to visit areas unexplored up to this date.

- Usage of submarine fresh water sources (Prof. Gilli, University of Paris)
